Student Pastor Job Description The Student Pastor at Amazing Grace’s purpose is to encourage and develop youth and their parents to become all that God has planned for them on this earth. Their success is measured by leading people to Jesus and fostering growth in their relationship with Him so they follow Him their whole life and become believers who lead others to Him as well. Mission & Vision Disciples and equip parents and students to abide with Christ, serve Him and others, and reach others with the Gospel. Seek to create inter‑generational environments, providing each student care from a multitude of equipped adults. Partner with parents by encouraging and equipping them to be the primary spiritual caregivers to the students who live in their home. Maintain presence at local school campuses through prayer, service, and appreciation. Live in community with families encouraging each of them in their relationship with Christ and calling to serve Him. Build leaders that reproduce leaders. Scope and Responsibilities Relate with youth in large groups, small groups, and one‑on‑one. Teach God’s Word in a relatable way with excellence. Collaborate with the creative arts/worship team to provide opportunities for students to learn a lifestyle of worship and prayer, engaging His presence and abiding in Him. Recruit, train, and encourage qualified volunteers who are present in students’ lives, help students clarify their faith, inspire them through their own example, and empower them to serve others and live on mission. Build leaders among students and volunteers that own youth ministry and the overall church. Develop and maintain a relationship with local middle schools and high schools through prayer, service, and appreciation. Connect relationally with Amazing Grace families and visiting guests. Partner effectively with parents for training of their children and students through consistent communication, helpful resources, and practical ideas. Maintain and track a budget related to youth ministry areas. Oversee the follow‑up and assimilation of all first‑time student guests and their parents. Track appropriate measurements to ensure the accomplishment of vision and goals. Collaborate and plan efficiently and effectively the events that pertain to youth ministry. Create and implement proper promotion for all events and programming. Tend to thoroughly enjoy students. Plan, organize, and execute ministry programs and events. Work Conditions Hours: 40‑45 hours per week (full time) Compensation: Competitive pay commensurate to education and experience. Vacation Two weeks paid vacation, including two Sundays (10 business days) to be scheduled with the Senior Minister.
