Seeking Skilled Handyman
Position: Full-Time Union Shop - Handyman to Superintendent
Ideal candidate seeking a long-term position
Responsibilities:Performing routine building maintenance
Handling emergencies and after-hours building issues
Handling snow equipment
Overseeing contractors
Daily inspection of the property
Responding to work orders from shareholders
Reviewing apartment renovation requests
Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Working closely with building management and porters to address property needs
Report repairs, safety hazards, and code violations promptly
Knowledge of all building equipment, gas boilers, roofs and windows
Certifications for boilers, fire systems
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repairs, boiler systems, pumps/motors
Ability to supervise staff and handle daily work orders
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills with both shareholders and Board
Good record keeping for property maintenance needed
