Registered Nurse (RN) - PACUWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role requires expertise in the management of patients recovering from anesthesia and major surgeries. The ideal candidate will be skilled in critical care nursing and will provide comprehensive patient care during the recovery phase.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and pain management of post-anesthesia patients.Administer and titrate medications, including pain management and anesthesia reversal agents.Recognize and respond effectively to airway complications.Start and manage IV lines, along with administering fluids and medications.Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).Provide care for patients recovering from various major surgeries including, but not limited to, general, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic procedures.Ensure optimal patient outcomes by collaborating with healthcare team members.QualificationsActive California nursing license (CA lic required).Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.2-3 years of relevant experience in PACU or critical care, with exposure to adult and pediatric patients.Experience in pre-operative care is preferred.Strong proficiency in pain management and patient assessment.Work ScheduleThis position involves working day shifts of 12 hours, with flexibility for varying start times between 07:30 and 10:30.
