Associate, Manufacturing (Night)

About Technical Operations BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting‑edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. Associate – Manufacturing (Novato) Work in a 100% cGMP manufacturing facility, operating in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes such as cell culture, cell production, protein harvest, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification and formulation of bulk drug substance. Perform all aspects with a broad understanding of scientific, compliance, and technical components. Responsibilities Work in 100% cGMP manufacturing facility. Operate and learn biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes including cell culture, cell production, protein harvest, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification and formulation of bulk drug substance. Perform all aspects with a broad understanding of scientific, compliance, and technical components. Support initiatives for process optimization. Identify and elevate processing issues and support solutions. Demonstrate experience with automation systems (LIMS, MES, PI, etc.). Required Skills Process knowledge: understanding of pH, cell culture, bioreactors, process theory and equipment operation. Teamwork abilities. Experience with automation systems (LIMS, MES, PI, etc.). Experience & Education Minimum 2 years of industry experience. Minimum 4 years of college education or 2 years of a biotechnology program. Shift Details Night shift: Wednesday–Sunday with every other Saturday, 1800-0700 (12‑hour shifts). On‑site. No travel required.
