26-27 Middle School Math Teacher

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a middle school math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is available at KIPP Impact Academy (7000 103rd Street). Teachers are assigned one grade level and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their Principal.

There are four "home room" teachers on each grade level who are each responsible for teaching a core subject. Class size is typically about 26 students per class. Subjects on each grade level include English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Please note within the application what grade levels and/or subject area you prefer. Relevant certification should also be indicated in the application. Please note that fifth grade is considered part of our middle school model.

Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000. Access to individual health benefits (including medical, dental, and vision) is provided. Access to individual short-term and long-term disability insurance is also provided. A 403(b) retirement program with a company match is available. To support teacher practice and their growth, all lead teachers receive individualized coaching and professional development.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in one of the following areas: Elementary Education K-6 for 5th or 6th grade ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies; Math 5-9 for grades 5,6,7, or 8; Math 6-12 for grades 6,7, or 8.
• At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

Highly preferred qualifications:

• Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts
• ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
• Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom in a relevant grade level
