Senior Pricing Manager

Job Type: Direct Hire Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are partnering with a large, established organization to identify a Senior Manager of Pricing who will lead pricing execution, analytics, technology, and commercial support across the business. This is a highly visible leadership position that combines pricing strategy, advanced analytics, technology, commercial decision-making, and team leadership. The Senior Manager will work closely with executive leadership to translate broader pricing priorities into actionable programs while leading the day-to-day pricing function and developing a team of experienced pricing professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial and financial judgment along with experience leveraging data, pricing technology, business intelligence, and advanced analytics to improve pricing and margin performance. Key Responsibilities Translate enterprise pricing priorities into actionable implementation plans, processes, tools, analytics, and operating capabilities. Lead strategic pricing initiatives focused on improving pricing effectiveness, margins, commercial execution, and decision-making. Drive the continued development of the organization's pricing technology and analytics environment. Support pricing optimization platforms, recommendation tools, enterprise data capabilities, BI solutions, and advanced analytics. Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, machine learning, and data science within pricing and commercial workflows. Lead pricing initiatives from concept through requirements, testing, implementation, training, adoption, and continuous improvement. Partner cross-functionally with technology, data, finance, sales, and operations. Oversee customer pricing agreements from proposal and financial evaluation through approval, implementation, and ongoing management. Lead the development of customer proposals, contract pricing, and supporting commercial analysis. Maintain strong pricing governance and approval processes while balancing revenue growth, customer needs, and profitability. Develop and maintain pricing guidance for the sales organization. Use customer, market, product, financial, utilization, and transactional data to identify pricing opportunities. Lead the development of pricing dashboards, reporting, and analytics used to measure performance and improve commercial execution. Partner with sales and operating leaders to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and strengthen pricing discipline. Provide data-driven recommendations and appropriately challenge pricing decisions when necessary. Lead and develop a team of experienced pricing analysts. Establish priorities across strategic initiatives and ongoing commercial support. Build capabilities in pricing analytics, data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and pricing technology. Coach team members on leadership, communication, commercial judgment, and project management. Establish clear expectations and accountability for results. Build a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement. Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with senior leadership on pricing priorities, investments, processes, and capabilities. Work closely with sales and operating leadership to improve adoption and execution of pricing programs. Present complex pricing, financial, analytical, and technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders. Lead cross-functional initiatives involving sales, finance, technology, data, legal, and operations. Influence business decisions through strong analysis, commercial judgment, and clear recommendations. Qualifications Significant experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, pricing strategy, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience translating complex data into actionable business recommendations. Experience working with large relational datasets and modern enterprise data environments. Experience with pricing systems, pricing optimization tools, recommendation engines, or business intelligence platforms. Exposure to advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, or data science applications within a commercial environment is highly desirable. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools. Strong understanding of financial concepts, pricing economics, margins, and commercial decision-making. Demonstrated ability to balance revenue growth with profitability. Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to influence and constructively challenge senior sales and business leaders. Strong project implementation and change-management capabilities.
