Client in Cumming is looking for 2 Medical Assistants as quickly as possible.
Position: Medical Assistant - Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr
Scope: Responsible for providing organization and support to assigned provider. Responsible for Patient Clinical Triage and EMR chart documentation, handling all patient phone calls
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Triages patients, updates medical histories, obtains vital signs, and documents history of present illness.
- Prepares clinical charts in advance; ensures all lab and diagnostic results are available.
- Handles all patient and provider messages, EMR documentation, and patient communication tasks daily.
- Coordinates care instructions including diagnostic prep, treatment plans, dietary recommendations, and test follow-up.
- Refills medications, processes prior authorizations, and communicates medication-related information.
- Performs procedures such as video capsule endoscopy (VCE) and phlebotomy.
- Ensures patient confidentiality and documentation accuracy in compliance with legal standards.
- Will perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Travel to satellite offices may be required.
