Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients (non-stepdown unit) utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations effectively

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to work every other weekend as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience caring for cardiac and telemetry patient populations
• Familiarity with a nurse-to-patient ratio environment of 5:1–6:1
