CAD Technician

Our client, a leader in engineering and construction support services, is seeking a dedicated CAD Technician to join their team. As a CAD Technician, you will be an integral part of the engineering support department, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive within a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Pay Range: $40

Shift: AM - 04:30 AM

What's the Job?

• Use specialized software to convert rough sketches, notes, and engineer concepts into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects.
• Create detailed plans, layouts, and cross-sections utilizing AutoCAD to support project specifications and standards.
• Translate rough hand sketches, redlines, or verbal instructions from engineers and architects into finalized visual documents.
• Update existing drawings based on client feedback, test results, or team redlines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and aligned with project goals.

What's Needed?

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Ability to read blueprints, understand basic engineering metrics, and adhere to industry standards.
• Associates degree in drafting, engineering design, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Excellent organizational skills for file management and record keeping.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse project teams.
