Strong Azure Data Engineering expertise across ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Lakehouse/Medallion architecture, SQL/Python/PySpark, MDM, API Management, data governance, CI/CD, and Azure security.


Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role involves hands-on data architecture, ETL/ELT engineering, MDM, API integration, and governance for enterprise-wide data initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure data platforms using Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, and Azure SQL .
• Build Lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and support data mesh/data hub patterns.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF, Synapse Pipelines, and Databricks for batch and streaming data.
• Integrate data from on-prem, cloud, SaaS, and API sources.
• Implement MDM solutions (Profisee, Informatica, Semarchy) and support data governance, metadata, and data quality.
• Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions .
• Perform DBA tasks: performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, backup/recovery.
• Implement CI/CD and IaC using Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Bicep .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in Azure data engineering.
• Strong in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS Gen2 .
• Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, PowerShell .
• Strong understanding of data modeling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault, star/snowflake) .
• Experience with Lakehouse, medallion architecture, data mesh/hub .
• Knowledge of MDM, data governance , metadata management.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC , and Azure security (RBAC, Key Vault, networking).
