Delivery Partner

We currently have a career opportunity for a Delivery Partner to join our team located in Detroit, Michigan or Chicago, Illinois.

The Delivery Partner is accountable for delivery excellence, project health, and disciplined account operations across key client engagements. This role ensures projects are set up for success, delivered predictably, and positioned for growthwhile building strong, trusted client relationships.

This role requires someone who has spent their career in deliverynot adjacent to itand who brings at least ten years of deep industry experience in automotive and industrial. They have activated and scaled global delivery teams, run programs spanning software engineering, Martech platforms, AI and data analytics, and cloud migrations, and they know how to see patterns across a portfolio of accounts and drive systemic improvements rather than solving the same problems repeatedly at each client. This is not a role for someone whose depth begins and ends with ERPthe transformation deals Perficient is winning in this vertical span multiple service lines and capability groups, and this leader needs the technical breadth to shape and differentiate solutions across all of them.

Proximity to the market is equally important. Preference is for candidates located in or near Detroit, Chicago, or the broader Midwestwhere the density of Perficient's automotive and industrial client base is highest and where physical presence in client conversations is important.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes across the full Automotive & Industrial client portfolioquality, timeline, margin, and client satisfaction are this leader's metrics, not the individual Delivery Lead's alone
• Manage and develop the layer of account-level Delivery Leadssetting delivery standards, coaching performance, and holding the team to consistent quality of execution and client engagement
• Handle escalations at the portfolio levelresourcing conflicts, delivery risk, scope disputes, and client relationship tension are resolved here before they reach the BU Head or CDO
• Own senior client relationships at the right momentspresent for delivery reviews, executive steering committees, and inflection points where client confidence requires a face above the account team
• Lead solutioning and delivery-led sales engagement on the largest and most complex automotive and industrial pursuitsdefining the technical approach, differentiating Perficient's solution across service lines and capability groups, and bringing estimation rigor and delivery conviction to deals that require more than a commercial pitch to close
• Ensure that transformation deals spanning software engineering, Martech, AI and data analytics, and cloud are scoped coherentlythis leader holds the full solution picture across capability groups and ensures what is sold reflects a differentiated, executable delivery approach
• Drive continuous improvement across the delivery portfolioidentifying patterns in delivery performance, client feedback, and team capability that surface opportunities to raise the bar across all accounts, not just fix individual problems
• Activate and scale global delivery teamsonshore, India, and LATAMensuring the right talent is in the right role at the right cost structure for each engagement; this leader has done this before and knows how to make global delivery models work in practice, not just in theory
• Build a delivery culture across the Automotive & Industrial portfolio that is proactive, accountable, and commercially awareDelivery Leads should be thinking about client outcomes and engagement health, not just task completion
• Develop the next generation of delivery leadership in the verticalidentify and invest in high-potential Delivery Leads who are ready to grow, and ensure the bench is stronger than it was when this leader arrived
• Operate with a service mentality toward the BU Headthe job is to make the business unit run smoothly, not to surface problems that should have been solved before they arrived at that level; this leader is a shield, not a funnel
• Model and reinforce Perficient's delivery standards across the portfoliomethodology adherence, client communication discipline, and delivery documentation quality are consistent because this leader sets the expectation and holds it
• Bring industry knowledge into the teamshare what you know about automotive and industrial market trends, client dynamics, and technology directions so the Delivery Leads and their teams are better advisors to clients
• Maintain clear, current visibility into delivery health across all accountsutilization, margin, risk indicators, and client satisfaction signals are actively tracked and acted on, not reviewed quarterly in retrospect
• See patterns across the portfolio that individual Delivery Leads cannot see from their account-level vantage pointsystemic delivery gaps, recurring client friction points, global team performance trends and drive structural improvements rather than repeated tactical fixes
• Bring rigor to global delivery model activation staffing ratios, onshore/offshore balance, ramp timelines, and quality checkpoints are planned and managed with the discipline of someone who has done this at scale and knows where it breaks
• Ensure delivery-led sales engagements are grounded in what Perficient can actually deliverestimates are credible, assumptions are explicit, and the delivery commitment made in pursuit is one the team can execute against without rework
• Leverage AI tools and data to accelerate delivery insightportfolio dashboards, risk flagging, and pattern detection should be augmented by technology wherever it improves speed or quality of decision-making

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology delivery experience, with 10+ years specifically serving automotive and industrial clients in a consulting, systems integration, or technology services environment
• Technical breadth across the domains Perficient delivers in this vertical: software engineering and product development, Martech and digital experience platforms, AI and data analytics, and cloud migrationscandidates whose depth is limited to ERP or a single technology domain are not the right fit for this role
• Demonstrated track record activating and scaling global delivery teamsonshore, India, and LATAMwith the operational discipline to make distributed models perform at the quality and margin levels the business requires
• Experience managing a team of delivery leaders or account leadsyou have set delivery standards, coached performance, and held a team accountable for portfolio-level outcomes
• Track record of senior client relationship management in the automotive or industrial sectoryou have been in the room with CIOs, VPs of Engineering, and procurement leadership and built lasting relationships that generate confidence and expanded scope
• Experience contributing to delivery-led sales on large, complex technology programsyou have shaped estimates, contributed to pursuit strategy, and been in the room where the deal was won or lost

Strongly Preferred

• Existing client relationships in the Detroit or Chicago automotive and industrial ecosystemOEM, Tier 1/2 supplier, or industrial manufacturing
• Experience implementing or integrating major packaged applications in an automotive or manufacturing context SAP, Siemens, PTC, Salesforce, or equivalent
• Background managing delivery escalations and client relationship risk, you have de-escalated difficult situations and preserved client relationships under pressure
• Familiarity with AI-enabled delivery models and how automation and AI tools are changing what delivery teams look like and how they operate in automotive and industrial contexts
• Experience working in a PE-backed or high-growth technology consulting environment where delivery quality and margin are tracked rigorously

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
