Cloud Ops Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Cloud Ops Engineer to join our client’s organization and contribute to their ongoing success. Job summary As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will own the cloud platform (primarily located in Google Cloud Platform, with portions in Azure) that powers the development, build, and test of the software running our fleets of autonomous industrial vehicles. This is the underlying environment that our engineering teams depend on every day. You will partner closely with software engineering teams who rely on the platform, building and hardening infrastructure, defining it in code, and keeping it secure, observable, and cost-effective. Responsibilities:Operate and maintain the cloud environment, including account and project structure, governance policy, and architecture Manage cloud networking as needed, to include: VPC design, NAT and static egress, public and private DNS, site-to-site VPN, and firewall and WAF security policy Administer identity and access management, including IAM, workload identity, and group-based RBAC Administer and maintain the Kubernetes platform: cluster lifecycle and version upgrades, node pools, control-plane configuration, and cluster networking Administer cloud infrastructure, including backup infrastructure, permissions, and network, edge/cloud surface management, intra-cloud connectivity, AI/ML pipelines, and management of virtual machines in the cloud Define and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm Requirements:Production experience operating Kubernetes: cluster lifecycle, networking, RBAC, and troubleshooting Strong experience with a major cloud provider across compute, networking, identity, and security (Google Cloud strongly preferred) Experience working in an infrastructure-as-code paradigm, especially Terraform; comfortable with Helm Solid cloud networking fundamentals: VPCs, routing, NAT, DNS, VPN, and firewall policy Strong scripting ability in Bash and/or Python Solid experience with running hyperscale cloud applications Familiarity with standard network concepts and best practices (OSI, CIDR, etc) and a general understanding of layer 2 / 3 routing Ability to clearly explain and communicate complex technical topics At OpenArc, we prioritize your career success and strive to build exceptional technical teams for our clients.
