We are in need of a seasoned Civil Estimator in the Mid-TN area to oversee our Construction Precon Division.

As a Preconstruction Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of competitive cost estimates for all civil construction projects we undertake. Your expertise will play a crucial role in our ability to secure projects and ensure their successful completion, making the right addition to our team essential.

Overview:

• Review drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Manage the estimating and bidding processes for our civil projects.
• Determine labor, material, and time requirements by examining proposals and blueprints.
• Solicit and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare bid packages and deliver final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Offer recommendations for value engineering.
• Maintain historical cost data and create estimating tools and templates.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience as an estimator in the civil construction field.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate various types of civil projects (e.g., excavation, site work, utilities).
• Proficiency in relevant software is a plus (e.g., Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Keen attention to detail is a must.
