About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Psychiatry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: ADN, BLS, current CPI, NVCI or HWC Must-Have: Strong de-escalation skills Strong communication skills Description: Orientation schedule will be provided prior to the start date. Responsible for providing psychiatric nursing care to patients. Assist in the treatment and management of patients with various behavioral health conditions. Work within a dedicated psychiatric unit with a specific patient population. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system. Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines within the facility. Participate in daily rounds and contribute to treatment planning. Engage in therapeutic communication with patients and their families. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care as needed. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients. Commit to ongoing professional development and training. Expected to float between geriatric and adult behavioral health units as needed. Must maintain a flexible schedule, including working every other weekend.
