In this role, you will drive Advanced Development & New Product Development (PDLM projects) to industrialize the supplier base for the new innovation projects and to drive Product Cost Roadmaps for released products focused on cost, quality and risk improvements.

Your role:

• Lead new product sourcing strategy and execution by developing sourcing plans in I2M Planner and driving procurement deliverables that meet cost, quality, risk, and total cost of ownership (TCO) targets. Leverage competitive market benchmarks to influence sourcing decisions and project objectives.
• Manage supplier engagement and sourcing governance by assembling NPI Bill of Material (BoM) sourcing grids, leading RFP activities through Ariba e-RFQ, and presenting recommendations to Sourcing Boards for approval. Ensure alignment between Procurement, R&D, and suppliers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Drive supplier innovation and Design for Excellence (DfX) initiatives to improve product cost, quality, and risk profiles. Facilitate early supplier involvement, innovation workshops, and cross-functional collaboration to integrate supplier capabilities and value-added solutions into product designs.
• Influence product design and portfolio optimization by promoting standardization, platforming, and component simplification across product lines. Guide design specifications to maximize supplier flexibility, technology applicability, and long-term scalability.
• Lead product launch readiness and lifecycle management by overseeing PDLM sourcing reviews, supplier capacity planning, phase-in/phase-out execution, and production ramp-up activities. Monitor post-launch performance and develop cost reduction, quality improvement, and productivity opportunities to support continuous improvement.

You're the right fit if:

• You’ve acquired 2+ years experience leading procurement and sourcing activities for new product introductions within a regulated manufacturing environment, including supplier selection, RFQ management, DfX/DFM initiatives, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams; proven track record of delivering cost reduction programs, dual-source strategies, supplier innovation, and product lifecycle support while ensuring cost, quality, supply continuity, and business objectives are achieved.
• Your skills include managing complex supplier and assurance-of-supply projects, including risk mitigation, component obsolescence, capacity planning, production launches, and engineering change management; Lean/6Sigma, Design for Excellence (DfX), supplier RFQ management, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), supplier selection, contract negotiations, and project execution.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree, required, in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering,Operations, Research & Development, Quality, Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
• You’re an effective driver to maintain project momentum, ensure supply continuity, deliver planned cost savings, support regulatory and design changes, and execute strategic sourcing initiatives necessary to meet business objectives. May be required to travel up to 15% of the time.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Murrysville, PA is $93,000 to $150,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
