Controls Engineer - Columbus, IN
You'll be the go?to controls expert for a 400,000 sq ft, high?volume operation running 8 production lines with 200-220 employees in a UAW facility serving a large, diverse workforce. If you like being the person who keeps a plant running, improving, and pushing performance forward, this role is built for you.

What You'll Own

• Lead controls + electrical support across your assigned production areas, driving uptime and quality.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Allen?Bradley PLCs - required, not optional.
• Write, modify, and improve automation programs to meet plant objectives.
• Partner with Maintenance to crush downtime and solve tough problems.
• Support Quality through PFMEA updates, QRQC participation, and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement through CI/Hoshin events and process reviews.
• Support welding, bending, TIG/MIG operations across multiple automated stations.

What You Bring

• Allen?Bradley PLC experience (must?have).
• Manufacturing background - automotive experience is a strong plus.
• Autocad (electrical + mechanical) proficiency.
• Ability to lead automation, troubleshoot complex controls issues, and improve machine reliability.
• Strong collaboration skills - you'll work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and production teams.
