Barista, Edda Coffee

We are looking for a barista passionate about specialty coffee who can brew a great cup of coffee and help us provide exceptional customer experiences to our guests. A successful barista will be committed to the job, show initiative in enhancing the reputation of our café, and serve as an excellent salesperson, hospitable team player with a knack for problem‑solving and attention to detail. A qualified candidate must be skilled in using various coffee preparation techniques and coffee brewing and grinding equipment, but must also be able to cater to our guests’ needs, upsell when appropriate, and build long‑lasting customer relationships. Essential Functions Preparing coffee using various preparation techniques and equipment. Selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment. Providing menu recommendations and additional information. Handling cash and credit transactions. Maintaining inventory and managing storage and supplies. Maintaining a safe, healthy, and appealing work environment. Other duties as assigned. Education / Experience / Certifications High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred. Prior barista experience is not necessary, however a strong interest and passion for specialty coffee is required. Problem solver and analytical thinker: works constructively to solve problems and learn from mistakes, anticipates the needs of personnel and guests, sees around corners works proactively to prevent issues from arising; exercises common sense and good judgment. Maintains composure under pressure, remains calm and courteous in difficult situations. Willingness to learn and accommodate industry changes and company directives. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as business demands; ability to work flexible hours as required. Work Environment Work is performed in a restaurant/event environment. This role requires primarily standing and walking during the entire shift. Work environment is fast‑paced, and the team member must manage multiple priorities throughout a shift. Exposure to cold and heat may occur on a regular basis, including entering refrigeration equipment, handling multiple industrial/food‑service appliances, and operating cooking appliances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
