About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to spearhead the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive communication and marketing strategies. The CCO will serve as a key advisor to the executive team, ensuring that the organization's mission, vision, and values are effectively communicated to a diverse range of stakeholders. This role involves leading a team to manage media relations, oversee marketing programs, and engage in proactive, transparent communication with the public. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, capable of anticipating and addressing emerging issues, and will champion a culture of transparency and accountability in all communications. Candidates for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and at least 7 years' of leadership experience in communications, marketing, or public relations. Experience in the public sector or transportation industry is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic communications, media relations, and crisis management, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with community partners and elected officials. They should be adept at managing multiple communication channels and be prepared to work in a highly visible public sector environment. Collaborative leadership, the ability to mentor high-performing teams, and a commitment to promoting the organization's mission are essential.
