JOB SUMMARY

Serves beverages and food, accepts money and makes change, stocks supplies, and cleans while providing excellent guest service to all guests. This position also assists the Bartender, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly, responsibly, and professionally.
• Maintain stock supplies.
• Keeps Soda and Coffee stations full and clean at all times.
• Picks up glasses and trash from slot machines while on floor.
• Pushes in chairs at slot machines to keep the floor clean and organized.
• Assisting in keeping the lounge area clean, sanitized and presentable.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Maintain clean casino floor and Lounge (glasses, bottles, cups, etc.)
• Accurately counts and reconciles revenue.
• Assists bartenders as needed.
• Promotes lounge menu.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding drink service.
• Writes order on check or memorizes it.
• Relays orders to bar or kitchen via POS and serves drinks from service bars.
• Verifies garnishes are applied to non-alcoholic beverages prior to serving.
• Totals bill, accepts payment, and make correct change.
• Routinely clears and resets counters and/or tables.
• Assists Security with nightly drink pick up tasks.
• Must wear black non-slip boots.
• Other duties as assigned by management, including any supervisor, manager, or executive.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three months related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
• Must complete Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training for serving alcohol responsibly within two months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
• Must have a valid food handlers’ certification.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently exposed to cigarette smoke and occasionally exposed to hazards of wet floors. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Noise may occasionally exceed 95 decibels, but the average noise level is not expected to exceed 85 decibels over an eight-hour shift. Earplugs are available upon request.
