Work Environment
This position offers an onsite work setting, primarily within the patients' homes. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by their physicians, devising tailored treatment plans based on their individual needs and medical histories.
- Implement and adjust treatment plans for a diverse patient population, focusing particularly on orthopedics, pediatrics, sports medicine, and neurological conditions.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques and procedures designed to effect change in the patient's function or condition, adhering closely to physicians' plans of care.
- Provide ongoing consultations and education to patients and caregivers, empowering them with the knowledge required to take an active role in the healing process.
- Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, fostering a welcoming environment while enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
- Meet and exceed operational goals related to productivity and patient outcomes while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population encompasses individuals of various ages and conditions, from children with developmental delays to athletes recovering from injuries and elderly patients needing rehabilitation post-surgery. The role has a strong emphasis on developing personalized care plans that actively engage patients and take their preferences and histories into account. Building strong relationships with patients is essential to promoting trust and facilitating optimal recovery results.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and instructions.
- Proficient computer and word processing skills for maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- A proven ability to establish strong relationships with patients, exhibiting empathy and a desire to positively impact their rehabilitation journeys.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience are highly encouraged to apply. Additionally, hands-on experience in a home care setting will be seen as an advantage. A current CPR certificate is also essential.
Compensation and Benefits
