Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology procedures at a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Interventional Radiology setting
• Cases include STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and Structural Heart procedures such as PFO closure, TAVR, and Mitral Clip
• IR procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity work, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
• Neurointervention and CRM device implant experience needed
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
• On-call required 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
• May float within scope to IR, EP, or affiliate hospitals to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required for Cath Lab positions
• License required if applicable
• Required experience in EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro procedures
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, stenting, and endovascular interventions
• Ability to scrub and maintain sterile field
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Only one time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year at this facility before requiring a 6-month break before returning
• First-time travelers will be considered
