This is a high-ownership role where you'll shape how we make, measure, and value credit decisions, partnering closely with data science, product, engineering, and capital markets to drive meaningful impact across the portfolio.Our Core ResponsibilitiesBuild a high-performing credit card portfolio with ambitious growth targets and a commitment to responsible lendingOptimize credit decisioning including who to lend to, limits to set, and rates to offerDefine and refine credit strategies that align with evolving portfolio goals, staying ahead of economic trends and adapting accordinglyOwn the end-to-end testing ecosystem — experimentation design, implementation standards, and statistically sound result interpretationBuild and own a monitoring & analytics suite that gives a clear, end-to-end view of credit performance and unit economics, and serves as a single source of truth for senior leadershipDevelop and own models that forecast returns, value the portfolio, and drive investor reportingDiscover data-driven insights using Python and SQL to address key business questionsCollaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, and operations teams to implement and improve strategiesContinuously monitor the effectiveness of credit strategies and identify areas for improvementWhat You'll Need To SucceedDaily coding experience with Python and SQLProven experience in credit risk strategy within finance, ideally within consumer lendingDeep understanding of experimentation, measurement, and statistical inference (power, significance, bias, causality, guardrails)Strong understanding of credit performance and unit economics in lendingStrategic thinking and ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable decisionsResults-focused mindset balancing business and customer needsCollaborative, growth mindset and willingness to challenge your own assumptionsStrong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving attitudeInterview ProcessCall with a recruiter (30 minutes)Cognitive Test (15 Minutes)Take-home coding exercise + Task debrief (60 minutes)Case study interview (60 minutes)Culture-add interview (30 minutes)Life At LendableWinning team: the opportunity to scale up one of the world's most successful fintech companiesFlexible working: flexible approach tailored to each role.
