• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• No previous employment allowed at this facility.

Unit Details:

• Ratios: 2:1 in ICU, at times 3:1 depending on acuity; 4:1 on PCU.
• Patient population includes cardiac patients post CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure.
• RNs are required to titrate drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, precedex, propofol, cardene, nitro, neosynephrine, and dopamine.
• Uses Paragon.
• Equipment includes vents, Bipap, and Airvo.
• Bedside monitors, monitor bank at charge desk, and Monitor Tech on site.
• No aides normally in ICU; 1-2 in PCU per shift.
• Intensivist in house during the day; hospitalists available all hours.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Expect to work 4 shifts a week.
• Usually every other weekend, depending on coverage.
• Holiday requirement depends on coverage.
• No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements: - Expect to work either ICU or PCU with occasional floating to other departments if necessary. 7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days 1 reference required from within the last 3 years 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months Proof of identification required Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
