Social Media Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional passionate about social media, branding, and


design. You will assist in managing and growing Jones' social media presence across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities
• Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Facebook.
• Manage social media content tool such as Brandwatch
• Work cross-functionally with different departments (Safety, National Team, Major Projects, etc.) to:

• Gather content ideas and assets.
• Ensure accuracy and relevance of posts.
• Obtain necessary approvals before publishing.

• Research industry trends and contribute ideas for posts that align with Jones' brand and


voice.
• Adhere to the Jones Brand Guidelines using defined color palette, fonts and design styles.
• Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to comments/messages as


directed.
• Help track analytics and performance metrics to optimize content strategy.
• Bring forward ideas to improve reach, engagement, or content quality based on trends or data.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and special projects.
• Stay up to date with social media best practices and emerging trends.
• Assist with additional marketing projects assigned.


Qualifications
• Strong interest in social media marketing and design.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).
• Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Currently enrolled in a college marketing program or recent graduate preferred.
