Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Mid Coast, unspecified state

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 11A - 11P, Days, with every other weekend possibly required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. This position is critical in a fast-paced environment, requiring a blend of assessment skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across a diverse patient population.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Providing patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 4-5 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (or MOAB), and NIHSS certifications are mandatory before starting the position.
• Charge experience is preferred.
