Position Summary

Home Fashions International is seeking a dependable, organized, and technically skilled IT Assistant to provide day-to-day technology support for our manufacturing facility and office staff.

The IT Assistant will assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, printer, and user-access issues while helping maintain the company’s computers, devices, and IT systems. This position will work closely with employees throughout the organization to resolve technical issues quickly and minimize disruptions to daily operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who is comfortable working in both an office and manufacturing/warehouse environment and enjoys helping others with technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees experiencing computer, software, printer, network, or other IT-related issues
• Set up and configure computers, monitors, printers, phones, and other technology equipment
• Assist with new employee computer and system setup
• Install, configure, and update software and applications
• Troubleshoot Windows computers and common Microsoft applications
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications
• Help manage employee user accounts, passwords, permissions, and system access
• Troubleshoot network and internet connectivity issues
• Support printers, scanners, label printers, and other equipment used throughout the office and manufacturing facility
• Assist with maintaining computers and technology used on the production floor
• Track and maintain IT equipment and inventory
• Assist with basic network, hardware, and system maintenance
• Document technical issues, repairs, equipment assignments, and resolutions
• Help ensure company devices and systems remain secure and up to date
• Coordinate with outside IT vendors or service providers when necessary
• Assist with other technology projects and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Previous IT support, help desk, or technical support experience preferred
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC hardware
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Ability to troubleshoot computers, printers, software, and connectivity issues
• Basic understanding of computer networks, Wi-Fi, and network equipment
• Comfortable installing and configuring computers and other hardware
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical employees
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize urgent technical issues
• Willingness to learn new systems and technologies

Preferred Experience

• IT support experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
• Knowledge of networking, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi
• Experience supporting printers, scanners, and production-related technology
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and basic IT security practices
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus but not required
