Position Title: Principal Costpoint Consultant

Location: Chantilly, VA (Hybrid preferred – 1 day/week in office; fully remote considered)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 / year

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Costpoint Consultant to lead ERP implementation projects and provide strategic consulting to clients. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle, leveraging deep expertise in Deltek Costpoint, accounting processes, and project management to deliver successful solutions.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with strong leadership skills who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys mentoring team members while managing complex implementation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects, including planning, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Analyze client business processes and recommend system improvements and best practices.
• Configure and optimize Deltek Costpoint environments to meet client requirements.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and system documentation to support business operations.
• Ensure implementation activities comply with established accounting standards and internal controls.
• Provide project updates, status reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout implementation engagements.
• Mentor junior consultants by providing technical guidance, training, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate across functional teams to resolve system issues and deliver successful project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes and recommend additional solutions where appropriate.
• Travel to client sites as needed to support project implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6+ years of ERP implementation experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Deltek Costpoint implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience leading implementation projects and mentoring team members.
• Excellent project management, communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40% as project needs require.
