Global Process Engineer (Aseptic)

AbbVie seeks a Global Process Support Engineer for aseptic operations to support technical functions worldwide. The role involves applying engineering expertise to capital projects, process troubleshooting, and providing technical direction across aseptic manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical spokesperson on aseptic capital projects and equipment selection internally and externally
Advise management and operating sites on advanced processing equipment and participate in project planning
Lead or contribute to engineering projects with full awareness of design change consequences and failure modes
Provide technical direction and evaluate engineering advances to solve process problems
Ensure compliance with corporate and local policies while meeting project timelines

Requirements

MS or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
6–8 years pharmaceutical aseptic process design and equipment experience
Expert knowledge of aseptic fill-finish technology, cleanroom design, and regulatory requirements
Experience with FMEA, risk assessments, and investigations for aseptic processes
Proficiency in microbial control, environmental monitoring, and control/SCADA systems
Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to resolve cross-functional differences
