School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Centreville, Maryland

Step into an exciting opportunity to provide speech-language services in a supportive school environment this fall. This contract position is perfect for an SLP with their CCC who thrives on making a real difference for young learners. Covering a maternity leave from October through December, youll work with PreK through 2nd grade students, providing pivotal communication support during a crucial stage in their development. Youll collaborate with educators and families to deliver direct therapy, manage assessments, and oversee case management for a caseload of approximately 50 students. This full-time school assignment is structured as a 7-hour day, offering the chance to build strong, lasting relationships while supporting student achievement. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong assessment, IEP, and case management skills Comfortable with PreK-2nd grade populations Excellent communication and organizational abilities Responsibilities: Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse caseload Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans Maintain thorough and timely documentation Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Provide consultative support to teachers and families Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed This highly rewarding opportunity allows you to use your expertise to enhance academic and social outcomes for young children while enjoying the structure of the school day.
