Mechanical Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial and industrial mechanical systems projects. The ideal candidate will oversee planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of HVAC, plumbing, MEP, and process piping work while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary objectives are met. This role requires strong technical knowledge, construction management experience, and excellent communication and leadership skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of mechanical projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and trade teams working on HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and other mechanical systems.Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.Prepare, review, and control project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and invoicing; ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.Ensure compliance with design documents, codes, standards, and client requirements; conduct technical reviews and resolve engineering issues.Oversee quality control and assurance activities, including inspections, testing, punch lists, and commissioning procedures.Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and daily reports; maintain clear records for audits and client reviews.Enforce site safety programs and promote a culture of safety; coordinate with safety officers and ensure regulatory compliance.Communicate regularly with clients, design teams, and stakeholders; provide status updates, progress reports, and attend project meetings.Mentor and develop project engineers and field staff, fostering continuous improvement and best practices in mechanical construction.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 7 years of progressive mechanical construction experience with at least 3 years in a project management role.Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, MEP, and process piping projects in commercial or industrial settings.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation practices, applicable codes, and industry standards.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders; proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalents) and a track record of enforcing safe work practices.Certifications such as PMP, PE, NICET, or relevant trade certifications are a plus.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.BenefitsHealth/Dental/VisionHealth ReimbursementLife Insurance and AD&DShort- & Long-term Disability401(k)Holidays OffVacation & Sick Leave
