Job Title: Operational Buyer
Pay Rate: $55.00 - $69.93/hr
Location: Vacaville, CA
Schedule: 100% Onsite | Monday-Friday (5 days/week)

Duration: 6-Month Contract with Opportunity for Extension

We are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join a dynamic procurement team supporting day-to-day purchasing operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong SAP experience, analytical skills, and a background in procurement or supply chain. The successful candidate will manage purchasing activities, maintain procurement data, collaborate with suppliers, and support operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities and ensure timely processing of purchase orders.
• Maintain, audit, and update purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement data within SAP.
• Analyze procurement data and generate reports to support business decisions and operational improvements.
• Utilize advanced Excel and other reporting tools to manipulate and present purchasing data.
• Partner with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, delivery issues, and order fulfillment concerns.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and established procedures.
• Work independently to prioritize workload while supporting cross-functional teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, operational buying, or supply chain.
• Experience with SAP in a purchasing or procurement environment is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including data analysis, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reporting.
• Experience creating procurement reports, dashboards, or data-driven insights.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
