This full-time, onsite contract position centers on providing specialized instruction and advocacy for students with hearing challenges in an educational setting near Owego, NY. Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience with various communication modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, etc.)
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills
• Ability to create individualized lesson plans and adapt instructional strategies
• Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct educational services to students with hearing impairments
• Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Document student growth and maintain accurate records
• Advocate for the use of assistive technology and appropriate accommodations
