Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide direct obstetric and newborn care, including monitoring fetal status, administering medications, and supporting families
- Collaborate with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and other teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize fetal monitoring, interpret results, document findings, and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Educate patients and families, promote cultural sensitivity, and ensure age-specific care from birth through the elderly
- Maintain competencies, adhere to nursing standards and Alaska RN practice guidelines, and support continuous improvement in care delivery

Requirements
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent OB/L&D experience
- Ability to practice nursing in a hospital/L&D setting with rotating shifts
- Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required
