As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities in our school and community-based programs. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to children with ASD and related developmental disabilities in our school and community-based programs Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care, feeding, and toileting Implement individualized behavioral support plans and strategies to promote independence and inclusion Communicate effectively with children, staff, and families to ensure a smooth transition between home and school settings Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills Maintain accurate records and communicate with families regarding daily activities and behaviors Requirements High school diploma required 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable) What We Offer Competitive hourly rate: $20-$20 per hour Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with autism and related developmental disabilities Collaborative and supportive work environment Professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge #J-18808-Ljbffr Shema Kolainu - Hear Our Voices
