Overview
Polk Mechanical is seeking a Plumber Leadman to lead a crew while installing, maintaining, and repairing medical gas piping systems in healthcare and commercial facilities. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in med gas systems, and a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a crew in daily plumbing installation activities
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Layout piping systems and determine proper routing, materials, and installation methods
- Perform pressure testing, inspections, and system verification as required
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and medical gas standards
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on-site
- Provide guidance, direction, and training to crew members
- Monitor work progress and ensure quality and schedule adherence
Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing installation required
- Experience leading or supervising a crew preferred
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and medical gas standards
- Valid driver's license required
- Relevant plumbing license preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including healthcare job sites
