Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

• Perform general building, equipment, and facility repairs, including basic electrical, carpentry, automotive, and appliance work.
• Inspect equipment, identify repair needs, and assist with welding, blueprint reading, and field repair techniques.
• Operate heavy-duty vehicles and specialized equipment essential to campus operations.
• Replace parts, make adjustments, and ensure systems and equipment function properly.
• Maintain campus grounds, including lawn care, landscaping, and safe use of chemical products.
• Perform custodial and sanitation tasks to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public while performing duties.
• Complete additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Appointment Type: Full-time, Probational
