Job Summary:

Experienced registered nurse needed to deliver high-quality care on a 21-bed Renal Med-Surg unit, focusing on patients with kidney issues, post-dialysis, and complex medical-surgical conditions. The role involves managing acute and chronic renal cases within a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
• Float within scope to related Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED.
• Demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and critical thinking in high-volume settings.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN license required at submission.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience, with renal experience preferred.
• Ability to independently interpret telemetry strips.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR (mandatory); no training provided.
• Successful completion of competency test on Day 1; failure results in immediate termination.
