Registered Dietitian – Pediatric ICU (PICU) We are seeking a full‑time Registered Dietitian at Burnet Campus, working in our brand‑new Critical Care Building. Innovation: The Critical Care Building was completed in 2023 and features private rooms, showers, a massage area, laundry, quiet rooms, lounges, and gardens. Family‑Centered Care: Dietitians work alongside a multidisciplinary medical team and consider the family’s community setting and culture when planning nutrition care. Schedule: Full‑time, Day shift, Monday‑Friday with possible weekend coverage. $5.00 per hour weekend differential on qualified hours. Clinical Ladder: Designated opportunities for promotion and recognition of knowledge, skills, experience, and leadership within Nutrition Therapy. Benefits and Paid Time Off: Benefits start immediately; 30 days of PTO per year with unused PTO rolling over. Pay Range: $62,000 – $104,000 annually, as a salaried/exempt employee. Pay based on education and years of experience. What You Will Do As a Dietitian Clinical Practice Perform nutritional assessments for patients and develop complex care plans using current or new nutrition standards. Collaborate with team members to initiate and coordinate care plans. Individualize nutrition counseling and education for patients, families, and care providers, and support transition to home. Incorporate current research into clinical practice and share relevant information with peers. Leadership Identify learning needs for nutrition staff, healthcare team members, and the community and initiate education activities. Identify and meet ongoing learning needs of diet technicians and/or interns. Preceptor the orientation and education of new dietitians. Generate performance improvement activities and document activities for reports. Fiscal Responsibility Complete productivity records and enter charges in a timely fashion. Professional Growth and Development Participate in committees or work groups affecting the department, hospital, and/or community. Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge and share professional experience in contributions to knowledge. Assist other members by educating, providing resources, and consulting on difficult cases. Collaboration Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team, diet technicians, and others to complete daily patient care responsibilities. Partner with coworkers and health‑care professionals to provide valuable input on projects. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in nutrition required; Master’s degree preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred; critical care experience a plus. Registered and licensed Dietitian in the State of Ohio required.
