About The Team:

The NOW Long Beach is owned by a husband and wife team, who are both active in the business on a full-time basis. Jamie utilizes her sales and marketing expertise to ensure full books and a team-first culture, while Mike leverages his finance experience to handle the administrative side of the business. Jamie and Mike first learned about the NOW as guests back in 2016, and are proud to be building a top tier franchise organization of the brand they've loved for over a decade!

Their first employee, Malarie, has been part of the team since 2022 and is a massage therapist by trade and a former GM of multiple The NOW locations, including Long Beach. Malarie brings extensive spa and massage industry knowledge, along with a deep passion for supporting both the team and guest experience across all 3 (and growing!) locations.

The NOW is designed as a refuge to help you disconnect from the outside world and reconnect within. We are where you go to turn down the noise so you can listen to what your body needs. We offer a space to escape the daily pressures of life and recharge your energy and spirit through the healing benefits of massage therapy.


We focus on delivering a spa-like experience but eliminate the exclusivity and cost of a traditional day spa. This means our Massage Therapists can focus on offering high quality, healing services without having to manage other job-related duties. • The NOW is always looking for great people, and that's where you come in! If you know someone who would be a good addition, and is a licensed massage therapist, you may be awarded a referral bonus of $300

Responsibilities:

• Share the healing power of touch to inspire and transform through the benefits of massage therapy.
• Provide therapeutic massage through a variety of modalities (Prenatal, Sports, Stretching Techniques, etc.)
• Maintain service room to standards. All supplies are provided.
• Full and Part-Time positions available.
• Will consider qualified candidates beginning their careers in massage therapy that possess the right qualities, as well as demonstrate innate talent for, and understanding of, therapeutic massage.

Requirements:

• Desire to be part of a team that has an infectious passion for health and wellness.
• License/certification required in California. Must present a license/certificate during the interview process and maintain it throughout employment if hired.
• Knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage and other modalities.
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week (availability for at least one weekend shift; Saturday or Sunday)
• Physical demands of the job include: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

This rate is BEFORE any bonuses or tips (we pay one or more bonuses for each massage given and our suggested tip is $25 for a 50-min service; expected actual earnings while massaging is $45-$60/hr).
