Plant Maintenance Technician - Second Shift - Union Second shift: approximately 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday–Friday, Saturday as needed. Responsibilities Promote safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Repair and maintain plant equipment including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, water pump service, cutting, grinding, and welding. Inspect equipment and structures daily to ensure safe, reliable, compliant operations. Monitor aggregate crushing, washing, and screening processes to identify problems and ensure material compliance. Document and record information by entering and maintaining service and lubrication reports. Perform general physical activities such as cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry. Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production. Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours; ability to work outdoors in all weather and tolerate loud noises. Mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance. Salary and Benefits The salary is prescribed by the collective bargaining agreement. For candidates with no prior experience, the starting salary is $31.97 per hour.
