Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate the patient during the operating room course, ensuring smooth flow of care.
- Coordinate overall perioperative care among the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and room staff.
- Function as a first assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair for procedures with granted privileges.
- Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with the care team.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding medications, treatment plans, and patient care standards throughout the perioperative period.

- Ability to serve as first assistant during eligible surgical procedures per granted privileges.
- Involvement in preoperative assessment and planning with the health care team.
- Knowledge of perioperative care standards and related medication management.
- Strong teamwork and communication with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and OR staff.
- Capacity to adapt to a 10-hour mid-level shift within a travel assignment setting.
