Associate Minister (Youth) Prairieland Christian Church Salary/Range: Negotiable based on experience Location: Hartsburg, IL Our Church Prairieland Christian Church (PCC) is a church family of around 75 people that are passionate about knowing Christ and making him known. PCC is an independent restoration movement church with a Bible-grounded theology and elder-led governance. Our Area Hartsburg is a city of about 300 located in Central Illinois just outside the town of Lincoln. Prairieland is a regional church that has attenders that come from several surrounding communities including Emden, Lincoln, Delavan, and Mason City to name just a few. We believe God has positioned us to impact our region with the good news of Jesus! Qualifications Bible College and/or Seminary training is preferred. Either current student or a graduate. Proven record of faithful service in a local church. Comfortable interacting with all ages. Works well with youth and able to lead adult volunteers to serve in various aspects of ministry. Experienced in leading worship and developing others to lead. Willing to provide references from other churches served as well as personal character references. Description of Responsibilities The overall aim of this position is to serve as an associate minister under the leadership of the lead minister and elder board. Will take primary responsibility for leadership over music ministry, and other administrative duties depending on abilities and agreement at time of interview and hiring. Youth/Children’s Ministry Running a quarterly meeting with the youth leadership team of volunteers to pray, train, and prepare the team to carry out youth groups and other events ○ Youth groups that take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month Taking responsibility for Junior Church which is a lesson for the kids during the sermon ○ Responsibilities include : recruiting teachers, selecting curriculum, and managing schedule Overseeing our growing number of volunteers to carry out our summer VBS Program Administrative Highly involved with the Planning Center website, a program which organizes all areas of volunteers. This includes worship service, tech team, hospitality team, nursery, and meetings Planning and brainstorming vision of the ministry of the church alongside preaching minister Meet weekly with the preaching minister for prayer and study in order to develop and grow together Partner with minister on keeping website up to date.
