Crew Chief (Streets)

Salary Range $19.91-$25.38 Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting 06-17-2026 Job Summary PUBLIC WORKS: Performs limited supervisory and semi-skilled manual work involving the: construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, roadways, drainage, and utility lines and systems; cleaning of buildings and other public facilities; and landscaping and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and rights-of-way. Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of tasks involving above-average physical effort and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills. Work is assigned and carried out according to oral and written instructions, usually from a crew leader or a field supervisor, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, meetings, and review of work orders to ensure quality and timeliness. Minimum Qualifications: STREETS/STORMWATER: High school diploma/GED; two (2) years of experience in semi-skilled manual work involving the: construction, maintenance, or repair of streets, roadways, drainage, or utility lines and systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Computer operation and software skills required to retrieve and closeout work requests. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid Florida CDL required.
