Work Environment\n

As part of our dynamic team, you will enjoy a remote work setting that encourages a healthy work-life balance. Your work schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but some flexibility may be required to meet the specific needs of your patients. Our community health clinic environment emphasizes teamwork and continuous support, engaging regularly in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to enhance the quality of care provided.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health evaluations to understand each patient’s individual trauma history and emotional needs.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to guide patients in processing their trauma and acquiring effective coping strategies.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for our patients.

  • Respond to crisis situations involving trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate support and intervention.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families regarding trauma reactions, coping mechanisms, and accessing additional resources for support and healing.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatments, upholding legal and ethical standards throughout.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma treatment to refine your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. Our patient population often struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related conditions such as complex trauma and dissociative disorders. It is imperative that you approach each patient with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

  • A master’s or doctorate degree in disciplines such as social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or a licensed psychologist.
  • \n
  • A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic methodologies.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications relevant to clinical practice.
  • \n
  • A collaborative mindset to foster effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setup.

Preferred Experience\n

  • While not required, a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is encouraged, particularly in trauma-focused therapy environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n
