About This Role The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department is a clinical leader responsible for overseeing quality patient care delivery and the daily functioning of the unit, working alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Highlights Pay: $132,411.29 - $153,840.32 Annually Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Department/Unit: Emergency Room 785 - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift What You'll Do Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care. Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR). Ensure the integration of PHR into clinical activities. Assist in the validation of staff members rounding hourly on all patients. Assess staff competency in PHR and provide feedback. Conduct rounding of all patients daily when Nurse Manager is away. Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team. Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate. Follow up on all patient concerns in a timely manner. Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment. Requirements Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred. Experience 3+ years minimum clinical nursing experience; Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in New York State. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
