Licensed Practical Nurse

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in a dynamic hospital setting. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, physicians, and an interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across a variety of medical and surgical units. Guided by established care plans and under the direction of an RN or provider, you will perform direct patient care activities such as obtaining vital signs, administering medications, performing treatments, assisting with procedures, and closely monitoring patient condition, promptly reporting changes to the supervising nurse or provider. The LPN will support safe and efficient patient flow by accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record, preparing patients for examinations and tests, and helping to coordinate discharges and transitions of care. You will educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and self-care, reinforcing teaching provided by RNs and providers to support understanding and adherence. This position requires strong clinical assessment skills within the LPN scope of practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment. You must be comfortable working with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, and conditions, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and respect at all times.
