Avondale Villa Post-Acute is proud to be a Five-Star, Medicare-certified. Avondale Villa is a 37-bed skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Livermore. It is part of the Villas Post-Acute and Senior Living community, serving local seniors.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate server/aide who can work in a fast-paced environment with a pleasing personality and the ability to work in a team for our Dietary Department.

  • Prepare palatable and appetizing meals in accordance with planned menus and temperature requirements on a timely basis.

  • Prepare food for therapeutic and texture modified diets in accordance with planned menus with established portion control procedures.

  • Assist in preparing and serving residents nutritional snacks and nourishments as ordered as needed.

  • Be sure that appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident’s meal tray, including special equipment, isolation equipment, etc. as ordered.

  • Prepare and serve alternate food choices to residents who refuse foods served in compliance with the resident's diet order.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least at least 18 years of age.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • One (1) year dietary experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.

  • One (1) year cooking experience required.

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate upon hire.
