Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of oncology care, with a focus on patient-centered treatment and collaborative teamwork.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 41
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per floor
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, 1 PCT per floor
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 4:1, max 5:1
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

Candidates must have the following skills:

• Strong understanding of sterile dressing changes and infection prevention
• Knowledge of blood and electrolyte replacement process protocols

Preferred qualifications include:

• Familiarity with general medical oncology
• Experience with ports and central lines

Floating Area(s)

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs, monogrammed with the hospital name, along with hospital-approved jackets.

Work Schedule

The position requires a rotating schedule, including weekends.

Experience Requirement

A minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience is required.
