You'll:Greet customers and establish a professional, trustworthy relationshipListen carefully to vehicle concerns and accurately document customer needsOpen, manage, and close repair ordersReview vehicle history and identify appropriate maintenance opportunitiesExplain technician findings and recommended repairs clearlyPresent repair and maintenance recommendations professionally and confidentlyPrepare and communicate accurate estimatesObtain customer authorization for recommended workKeep customers informed regarding repair status, costs, and expected completionUtilize digital tools, videos, texting, and electronic estimates to improve customer communicationCoordinate closely with technicians, dispatch, parts, and service managementHelp maintain efficient workflow throughout the service departmentMonitor repair progress and proactively address delays or concernsAssist customers with warranty, maintenance, and manufacturer-related questionsMaintain accurate documentation and dealership recordsFollow GM and dealership processes and requirementsMaintain strong customer satisfaction and CSI performanceBuild relationships that create repeat and referral service businessWork toward individual and departmental performance objectivesWe're Looking for an Automotive ProfessionalThis position is designed for someone who already understands the automotive service environment and wants to take the next step in their career. Our ideal candidate has:Previous automotive service advisor/service writer experienceStrong understanding of dealership service operationsExperience managing repair orders from write-up through completionKnowledge of automotive maintenance and repair terminologyAbility to confidently explain technician recommendations to customersStrong customer communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to balance customer satisfaction with dealership performanceStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple active repair orders simultaneouslyComfort working in a busy, fast-paced service environmentStrong follow-through and attention to detailAbility to work effectively with technicians, parts, management, and other departmentsA professional, customer-first approachValid driver's licenseGM & Reynolds Experience Is a Major PlusExperience with General Motors dealerships and/or Reynolds & Reynolds is highly desirable. Compensation is performance-driven and provides experienced advisors with the opportunity to be rewarded for strong results.
