Call Center Specialist (Medicare Member Services)

LHH is seeking a Call Center Specialist for a confidential healthcare organization in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an excellent opportunity for customer service professionals seeking experience in healthcare call center operations, Medicare member services, customer support, outbound calling, inbound call handling, and healthcare administration .

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls while providing exceptional service. This role supports healthcare members by answering questions, providing information regarding benefit changes, resolving concerns, documenting interactions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM onsite

Contract Duration

3-6 Month Contract with Potential Extension

Key Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound calls to Medicare members regarding upcoming healthcare plan updates and enrollment-related information.
• Handle inbound customer service calls, answer questions, and provide accurate information in a professional manner.
• Deliver exceptional member support while maintaining a positive and empathetic customer experience.
• Accurately document all member interactions within the call center system.
• Utilize call tracking systems to manage call activity, reporting, and workflow processing.
• Resolve member inquiries efficiently and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Process and manage referrals, follow-up activities, and case-related tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Meet established productivity, attendance, quality, and customer service expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure timely issue resolution and service excellence.
• Support additional administrative and customer service projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a call center, customer service, member services, healthcare support, administrative support, or clerical office environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and active listening abilities.
• Proficiency with data entry, documentation, and computer systems.
• Ability to multitask while navigating multiple software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to maintaining schedule adherence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare customer service experience.
• Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, healthcare benefits, or medical office experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy standards.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
